Honeycomb are delighted to be working with Bangor and Ards Community Hospital to recruit for a Temporary Band 2 Administrator.

Organisation: Southern Eastern Health and Social Care Trust

Contract: Until the end of December 2026

Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Location: Bangor and Ards Community Hospital

Salary: Band 2 £12.51 per hour

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and motivated individual who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment. The Administrator will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Bangor and Ards Community Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Reception duties, including welcoming patients and visitors
  • Answering telephone calls and booking appointments using the Encompass system
  • Data input and retrieval using computer systems
  • Maintaining filing systems and archiving records
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Processing and collating information
  • Taking and relaying messages
  • Dealing with a range of queries in a professional manner
  • Preparing and transporting medical and other records
  • Monitoring waiting lists and work queues on Encompass as directed
  • Monitoring shared email accounts
  • General office duties including photocopying and document preparation
  • Any other duties as requested by the Administration Manager

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Four GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English
    OR
  • At least one year's clerical experience

In addition, applicants must demonstrate:

  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • For typing posts: OCR Level II Text Processing (or equivalent)
