Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Western Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 2 Clerical Officer within the Financial Accounting team. This role offers an immediate start and is based in Derry/Londonderry. The Band 2 Clerical Officer role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week and the hourly rate is £12.51.

Location: Derry/ Londonderry - Altnagelvin Area Hospital

Pay Rate: £12.51 per hour

Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday- Friday (37.5 hours)

Contract: Until October 2026

As a Clerical Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of services. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within Health & Social Care and contribute to meaningful work that impacts communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and clerical support across departments
  • Managing correspondence, emails, and general enquiries
  • Scheduling meetings and maintaining records
  • Using IT systems for data entry, reporting, and communication
  • Supporting teams to ensure efficient service delivery

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including English Language (or equivalent/higher qualification)

OR

  • At least 2 years' administrative or clerical experience

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliability, flexibility, and initiative
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and general office procedures
