Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Western Health and Social Care Trust to recruit for a Band 3 Administrator. This position is based in Derry/Londonderry and offers an immediate start. It is initially for a period of 2 months.

  • Derry/Londonderry
  • Pay rate- Band 3- £12.75 per hour
  • Weekly pay and immediate start
  • Temporary contract for the period of 2 months initially
  • Monday- Friday- 9 am- 5 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and welcoming reception service to service users and visitors
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative support to the team and associated professionals
  • Manage diaries, arrange meetings, venues, travel, hospitality, and take minutes as required
  • Maintain efficient filing and brought-forward systems
  • Handle incoming mail and draft routine correspondence
  • Liaise with internal departments, hospitals, external agencies and the public
  • Manage telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Produce letters, reports, memoranda and presentations (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Assist in preparing policies, statistical reports and departmental documentation
  • Maintain stationery stock and office supplies
  • Update and search client databases (e.g., SOSCARE)
  • Contribute to data collection and statistical collation
  • Operate petty cash systems in line with Trust policy
  • Assist with financial reconciliations and requests
  • Participate in ongoing training and development

Essential Criteria

Qualifications & Experience

You must meet one of the following:

  • 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including English Language (or equivalent) AND 1 year administrative/clerical experience including cash handling

OR

  • NVQ Level II in Business & Administration (or equivalent) AND 1 year administrative/clerical experience including cash handling

OR

  • 3 years administrative/clerical experience including cash handling

Knowledge & Skills

You will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of 16+ Services
  • Understanding of maintaining confidentiality
  • Experience with filing systems
  • Ability to arrange meetings and take accurate minutes
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Criteria

  • OCR Stage 2 Text Processing (Part 1) & Stage 2 Word Processing/Typing (Part 2) or equivalent
  • Experience using SOSCARE/PARIS systems
