Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Western Trust to recruit for a Band 3 Personal Secretary in Family & Childcare Strabane

This role is Temporary for 1 month initially with the possibility of extension. It is an opportunity to work in a highly respected organisation and to build on your administration skills while supporting family and Childrens services in your area.

The Role

  • The Band 3 Secretary position is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) designed to provide comprehensive administrative support .
  • Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support .
  • Prepare and take accurate notes/minutes during meetings.
  • Manage correspondence, documentation, and scheduling with precision.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of administrative tasks within the department.

The Person

  • The ideal candidate for this Band 3 Secretary role will possess a blend of technical expertise and organisational skills, ensuring the highest standard of administrative support.

Essential:

  • 5 GCSE's (Grades A-C) to include English Language and Maths or equivalent of higher educational standard and one year's secretarial* experience;

OR

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent or higher educational standard and one year's secretarial* experience;

OR

  • 3 years secretarial* experience;
  • *Secretarial experience is defined as experience in an office based environment to include diary management, dealing with enquiries, word processing, co-ordinating meetings and taking notes at meetings.

In addition to one of the above, 6 months experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Word is also essential.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
