The Role

The Band 3 Secretary position is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) designed to provide comprehensive administrative support to Nurse Managers.

  • Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Nurse Managers.
  • Prepare and take accurate notes/minutes during meetings.
  • Manage correspondence, documentation, and scheduling with precision.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of administrative tasks within the department.

The Person

The ideal candidate for this Band 3 Secretary role will possess a blend of technical expertise and organisational skills, ensuring the highest standard of administrative support.

Essential:

  • OCR Level II (Parts 1 & 2) Text Processing/Word Processing or equivalent qualification OR a minimum of 1 year of word processing experience.
  • 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C, including English Language (excluding English Literature).
  • 1 year of secretarial/admin experience OR 2 years of admin/secretarial experience.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
