We're seeking a proactive and organised Finance Team Leader (Systems) to help manage and support our financial systems. If you're passionate about problem-solving, people, and process improvement, this is the perfect next step in your finance career.

The Person

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Team Leader (Systems) to join our Financial Accounting Services team.

This key role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial systems, leading others, and supporting continuous improvement. You'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of the Trust's financial systems, maintaining system integrity, and providing excellent user support.

Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Shared Services, and IT, you'll help deliver efficient, accurate, and customer-focused financial operations across the organisation.

The Role

• Assist in the day-to-day operation and administration of the Trust's financial systems.
• Maintain and monitor system access, user roles, and authorisation frameworks in line with governance standards.
• Provide specialist system support and guidance to end users through the finance helpdesk.
• Liaise with internal departments, Shared Services, and IT providers to ensure ongoing system functionality and performance.
• Supervise and support staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of work.
• Support key financial processes including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation.
• Contribute to system improvements, governance reviews, and implementation of audit recommendations.
• Provide cover for the Finance Team Manager (Systems) as required.

Essential Criteria

Demonstrate 3 years relevant* finance experience.

OR

Certificate for Accounting Technicians (ATI) or equivalent (QCF Level 4) with 2 years relevant* finance experience.
