The Project Monitoring Officer will play a key role in supporting the Waste Strategy and Sustainability Manager in the monitoring, administration and delivery of a major waste and recycling project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in monitoring, administering, managing and validating waste project operations.
* Undertake inspections, site visits and performance audits to ensure high standards of service and operational efficiency.
* Liaise with contractors and project stakeholders to address under performance and recommend corrective actions.
* Support the analysis and preparation of monitoring reports and waste data for statutory and contract management purposes.
* Attend contract and operational meetings, contributing to continuous improvement of waste-related services.
* Work flexibly across the project in line with operational demands, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.

The PersonEssential Criteria:

* Experience in project monitoring, contract management or operational oversight.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Ability to conduct inspections and site-based assessments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficient in analysing data and preparing reports.

Desirable Criteria:

* Knowledge or experience within waste management, environmental services or local government.
* Valid driving licence and access to transport.
* Experience working with contractors or performance-based service delivery models.

Package & Benefits

* £18.85 per hour (SO1 equivalent).
* Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm working pattern.
