Honeycomb is delighted to partner with a leading Financial Services company to recruit for a Senior FS Administrator / Trainee Paraplanner to join their team based in East Belfast. The role is full time, permanent and office based.

The Company

Our client is a dynamic, client-focused financial planning firm dedicated to delivering expert advice and exceptional service. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Client Support & Paraplanner. This role is open to both those looking to start their paraplanning career (trainee) and experienced, qualified paraplanners seeking a broader client support remit.

The Role

As a Trainee Paraplanner & Administrator, you will:

  • Support Financial Advisers by conducting research, preparing technical analysis, and drafting clear, compliant reports.
  • Manage client files and records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Handle a range of administrative tasks, from onboarding new clients to preparing for annual reviews and maintaining ongoing service delivery.
  • Liaise with product providers, platforms, and clients to gather information and resolve queries.
  • Prepare files for adviser meetings, including portfolio reports and compliance checks.
  • Ensure all processes meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements in workflows and client service delivery.
  • Take on any other reasonable tasks as requested by management.

Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in financial services, ideally within an IFA or wealth management environment.
  • Experience in both paraplanning (pensions, investments, protection) and administration.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or working towards it).
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Thorough understanding of compliance requirements.
