Mortgage Advisor Trainee

Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with a well-established financial services firm based in Belfast to recruit for a Mortgage Advisor Trainee.

The Client

Our client is a growing and close-knit financial planning practice, with a strong team of Financial Advisors and administrative professionals supporting a steady and loyal client base.

They are known for developing talent internally and offer a clear, structured pathway into a fully qualified Mortgage Advisor position.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has already started their CeMAP journey and is looking to move into a Mortgage Advisor role.

You will work closely with experienced advisors, gaining hands-on exposure to the full advice process while building your technical knowledge and confidence in a regulated environment.

There is a clear progression route into an advisory role as your experience and qualifications develop.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting Mortgage Advisors with the end-to-end mortgage process
  • Preparing and submitting mortgage applications to lenders
  • Producing illustrations and supporting documentation for client recommendations
  • Liaising with lenders, solicitors and clients to gather required documentation
  • Managing client cases and ensuring all compliance documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Assisting with pipeline management and case progression
  • Handling client queries and delivering a high level of service throughout the journey

Essential Criteria

  • Experience within a mortgage administration or financial services environment
  • Currently studying towards CeMAP (or completed CeMAP 1)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • High attention to detail and understanding of compliance processes
