Job Title: Visitor Information Advisor (Full-Time, Temporary)
Location: Ards & Bangor Visitor Information Centres
Pay Rate: £14.32 per hour and weekly pay
Hours: 9:15am - 5:15pm, 5 days per week (including Saturdays)

Ards and North Down Borough Council is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Visitor Information Advisor to join our Visitor Information Centre team on a full-time temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with people, providing excellent service, and helping visitors make the most of their time in the borough.

This role will alternate between the Ards and Bangor Visitor Information Centres, so flexibility and the ability to travel between locations are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide information on local attractions, events, accommodation, and services.
  • Promote tourism experiences across the Ards and North Down Borough
  • Process enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Support retail sales and maintain displays within the Visitor Information Centres
  • Use internal systems and Microsoft Office tools to manage information and records.

What We are Looking For

We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment, enjoys interacting with people, and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service.

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • At least 2 years' experience in a fast-paced customer service role
  • Good IT and systems knowledge, including Microsoft Excel
  • Access to a car and the ability to travel between the Ards and Bangor Visitor Information Centres
