Honeycomb are pleased to partner with Southern Trust to recruit two Band 3 Administrative Assistants within the Home Care Team- these will be full-time temporary posts.

  • 2 Positions x Band 3 Available
  • Newry
  • Full-Time- 9am-5pm with shifts after training from 7am-3pm or 9am-5pm
  • Hourly Rate £12.75 per hour with weekly pay and enhanced holidays

We are looking for two enthusiastic and highly organised Band 3 Administrative Assistants to join our Home Care Team in Newry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating people, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly. You will play a vital role in supporting our community home care service by helping to ensure that staffing levels and daily rotas are fully covered, so that people receiving care in their own homes continue to receive the support they need.

What will you be doing?

Working as part of the Home Care Team, you will:

  • Coordinate and maintain staffing rotas for community home care staff.
  • Contact staff by telephone to arrange and confirm rota cover.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to staffing gaps and changes.
  • Help ensure that the necessary staff are in place to meet the needs of the service.
  • Update and maintain administrative records and information.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, as part of your day-to-day work.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and colleagues across the service.
  • Work as part of a busy team where priorities can change quickly.

Your organisation and communication skills will make a real difference. You will be an important link in ensuring our community teams are appropriately staffed and able to provide a reliable service.

Working Hours

The role will initially be 9.00am - 5.00pm.

Following training, successful candidates will participate in a rota which includes an early shift of 7.00am - 3.00pm.

Therefore, applicants must be available to work between 7.00am and 5.00pm on a rota basis.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicating with staff over the telephone.
  • Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with changing staffing requirements.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Experience
    Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, or equivalent.
  • Availability
    Available to work 7.00am - 5.00pm on a rota basis.
  • Qualifications / Experience
    4 GCSEs at Grades A-C, including English Language and Maths, or equivalent/higher qualification AND 1 years' experience in a clerical/administrative role; OR 2 years' experience in a clerical/administrative role.
  • Driving Licence
    Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
