Part-Time Financial Services Administrator

Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with a well-established, independent financial planning firm in the recruitment of a Part-Time Financial Services Administrator.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, professional and supportive business that provides advice across mortgages, pensions and investments. The successful candidate will work closely with one of the firm's Partners, providing reliable administrative support and helping to ensure clients receive a high-quality and efficient service.

The position is available on a two-day-per-week basis, with the possibility of increasing to three days depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the business.

The Role

The responsibilities of the position will be tailored to the experience and strengths of the successful candidate. Duties may include:

  • Providing administrative support to the firm's Partners and Financial Advisers.
  • Processing mortgage applications and assisting with cases through to completion.
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, providers and other third parties.
  • Obtaining quotations, valuations, policy information and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting with pension and investment administration where appropriate.
  • Processing new business applications and maintaining accurate client records.
  • Preparing documentation ahead of client meetings and annual reviews.
  • Monitoring outstanding cases and following up with relevant providers.
  • Updating the firm's back-office systems and ensuring records remain accurate and compliant.
  • Supporting the wider team with general office and client administration.

The Person

The firm is open-minded regarding the background of the successful candidate.

Previous experience within an IFA, financial planning, pensions, investments or mortgage environment would be highly advantageous. This role could particularly suit an experienced financial services administrator seeking a reduced working week and a better work-life balance.

Applications are also welcomed from graduates or junior candidates who demonstrate a genuine interest in financial services, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A professional and personable communication style.
  • The ability to manage tasks independently and prioritise workload.
  • Confidence dealing with clients and external providers.
  • Good Microsoft Office and general systems knowledge.
  • A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach.

The Package

  • Highly competitive hourly rate or pro-rata salary.
  • Two days per week, with the potential to increase to three.
  • Supportive and friendly working environment.
  • Direct exposure to experienced Financial Advisers and Partners.
  • Varied responsibilities across mortgages, pensions and investments.
  • An excellent opportunity for either an experienced financial services professional seeking part-time hours or a junior candidate looking to begin a career within financial planning.
