Honeycomb Jobs is pleased to partner with Ards and North Down Borough Council to recruit a Part-time Admin Officer to work within their Tourism department. This role is Part-time 15 Hours per week and Temporary.
- Hourly Rate £17.41 per hour
- 15 hours per week over 4 days
- Based in Bangor
Are you an organised, reliable, and proactive administrator with excellent attention to detail and confident minute-taking skills?
Ards and North Down Borough Council is looking for an experienced Part-Time Admin Officer to provide high-quality administrative support relating to procurement and grants.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied administrative role, is confident working with information and documentation, and takes pride in delivering accurate and professional work.
The Role
Based primarily at Tower House, you will provide administrative support across procurement and grant-related activities. This will include maintaining accurate records, preparing, and processing documentation, coordinating information, supporting meetings, and providing general administrative assistance to the team.
Minute taking is an essential requirement of the role, so you will need to be confident taking accurate minutes, recording actions, and producing clear, professional documentation.
The role will also involve occasional attendance at Council-funded events, as well as some attendance at other Council sites when required.
Hours and Pay
- 15 hours per week
- Ideally worked across 4 days per week
- 9.00am start
- £17.41 per hour
- Flexibility around the days worked will be considered.
- The role will be based primarily at Tower House
- Occasional attendance at other Council sites and Council-funded events will be required.

About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable and able to work independently, while also being a positive and supportive member of the wider team.
You will have:
- At least 2 years' experience in an administrative role
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Essential experience and confidence in minute taking.
- Driving License and Access to own vehicle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Good IT skills and experience using standard office systems.
- The ability to manage information and documentation effectively.
- The ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- A professional and approachable manner
Experience of working in procurement, grants administration or a public sector environment would be advantageous, although applicants with strong transferable administrative experience are encouraged to apply.
