Honeycomb is pleased to be working with Ards and North Down Borough Council to recruit for a part time administrator for Ards Blair Mayne Leisure Centre. This is a temporary post for 30 hours per week.

Are you highly organised, customer-focused, and enthusiastic about delivering excellent service in a demanding environment? We are seeking a motivated and professional Administrator to join our dynamic team at Ards Blair Mayne Leisure Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of one of the region's leading leisure facilities while contributing to the health and wellbeing of our local community.

About the Role

As Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative and financial support across a wide range of leisure services. You will work closely with management, staff, customers, external partners, and the Finance department to ensure efficient systems, excellent customer service, and accurate reporting processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing memberships, GP referral administration, financial processing, booking systems, reporting, customer enquiries, and supporting key operational projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate computerised administrative systems and performance reporting.
  • Manage customer appointments including inductions and GP referrals.
  • Maintain GP referral records and reporting processes.
  • Administer memberships using Leisure Management Software and Course Pro
  • Support booking administration and management accounts.
  • Assist with debt collection and account reconciliation.
  • Manage daily cash management and banking procedures.
  • Process invoices, refunds, BACS payments, and financial transactions.
  • Prepare management information and committee reports.
  • Record formal meeting minutes.
  • Maintain stock inventories and support purchasing processes.
  • Oversee customer complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Support website updates and ICT systems administration.
  • Provide administrative support across departments when required.
  • Assist with on-the-job training of staff.
  • Promote equality, health & safety, and Council policies at all times.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience working within the leisure industry.
  • Experience using leisure management software packages such as XN Leisure, Cascade, or Legend
  • Cash handling experience including reconciliation and bank lodgements.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience taking formal meeting minutes.

  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive and collaborative team player

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working alongside external partners such as the Public Health Agency
  • Experience working within Finance.
