Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Strategic Planning and Performance Group to recruit a Band 6 Administration Manager. This role will be based in Belfast city centre and offers an immediate start.

The Company
The Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG) is part of the Department of Health and is responsible for planning, funding, and managing health and social care services for people throughout Northern Ireland. They are based in Belfast City Centre.

The Role
As a Band 6 Administration Manager, you will oversee key administrative processes and support the management of facilities operations. You will lead a team in delivering high-quality support services and work closely with senior leaders, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of corporate business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop staff while promoting continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, briefings, and maintain accurate records and data systems.
  • Manage contracts with external service providers and ensure value for money.
  • Lead facilities management activities across designated SPPG offices.
  • Provide guidance on health and safety, fire safety, first aid, and workplace compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and support office accommodation and relocation projects.
  • Plan and manage annual committee work programmes, workshops, and public meetings.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to enquiries from service users, community groups, public representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide advice on corporate governance, legislation, policies, and accountability requirements.
  • Coordinate committee meetings, agendas, papers, minutes, and follow-up actions.

The Person
Essential Criteria:

  • University Degree or a recognised professional qualification or equivalent qualification

AND

  • At least 2 years of experience in a role that includes staff management, facilities management, servicing formal meetings with senior staff and advising on corporate governance issues. Experience must be within the last 5 years.

OR

  • HND/HNC or equivalent (NQF Level 5)

AND

  • At least 3 years of experience in a role that includes staff management, facilities management, servicing formal meetings with senior staff and advising on corporate governance issues.

OR

  • Worked for at least 5 years in the last 7 years in a role involving staff management, facilities management, servicing formal meetings with senior staff and advising on corporate governance issues.

Desirable Criteria:

  • In-depth knowledge of legislation and policies governing the Strategic Planning and Performance Group.

Package and Benefits
This role offers an hourly rate of £19.78 and is based in Belfast city centre. It is temporary for 3 months initially.
