Honeycomb is delighted to be working with a large public sector organisation to recruit a temporary Business Support Administrator. This role will be based in Ballymena and is for 3 months.
The Role
As a Business Support Administrator, you will support organisational compliance by ensuring that processes and activities are carried out in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance on policy, legislation, and regulatory matters.
- Collate, coordinate and manage queries from internal and external stakeholders, reviewing information against relevant policies and legislative frameworks and preparing responses for management review.
- Assist with the monitoring and review of policies, procedures and systems, identifying issues, resolving problems where appropriate and escalating matters to senior officers when required.
- Process, maintain and manage accurate information, data and records across internal systems.
- Support managers and senior officers with meeting arrangements, minute-taking, report writing, presentations, correspondence and the preparation of meeting papers.
- Manage and respond to a range of internal and external queries, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally, accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Provide financial administration support, including processing invoices and payments, maintaining financial records and carrying out data and accuracy checks.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and external stakeholders, providing a responsive and professional service.
- Work flexibly across multiple departments and locations, adapting to changing priorities and supporting the wider needs of the organisation.
The Person
The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator who meets the following essential criteria:
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English Language and Maths (Grade C or above), or equivalent qualifications demonstrating literacy and numeracy.
AND
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a business office environment, including experience of:
- Maintaining records on database systems
- Minute-taking
- Diary management and managing emails
- Dealing with and responding to internal and external customer queries
OR
- 4 years' relevant experience, including a qualification in English Language and Maths.
- A full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
