Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with a leading Financial institute to recruit for an Executive Assistant to support the CTO. The role is full time and permanent and would suit a dynamic EA who is tech savvy and has extensive experience of supporting C-Suite members.

The Client

The client is a well known banking financial institute with a head office in Dublin 4. They are known for fostering a dynamic culture centered on collaboration, customer advocacy, and work-life balance. The role is hybrid with 2 days in office, 3 from home.

The Role

Executive & Strategic Support

  • Manage a complex and dynamic executive calendar, ensuring alignment with the business strategic technology priorities.
  • Prepare high-quality briefing materials, presentations, and reports for Executive Committee, Board, and senior leadership meetings.
  • Provide proactive support in prioritising, tracking, and ensuring delivery of key CTO initiatives.
  • Act as a gatekeeper, balancing competing demands and ensuring optimal use of the CTO's time.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a key point of contact between the CTO and Executive Committee members, Board stakeholders, regulators, and senior technology leaders.
  • Build strong working relationships across Technology & Change, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and business units.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration in a geographically distributed and hybrid working environment.

Governance & Regulatory Support

  • Assist in the preparation of materials for Board committees, regulatory engagement, and internal governance forums.
  • Track and manage technology risk updates, audit actions, and regulatory deliverables (e.g., operational resilience, cybersecurity).
  • Support adherence to governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory obligations.

Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate leadership meetings, town halls, and offsites within the Technology function.
  • Track key programmes including digital transformation, cloud adoption, and core banking modernisation.
  • Ensure effective follow-up on actions and decisions, maintaining discipline around execution.

Communications & Reporting

  • Draft and manage internal and external communications on behalf of the CTO.
  • Produce executive-level documentation with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Support messaging aligned to the business technology strategy and transformation agenda.

Travel & Administration

  • Manage complex domestic and international travel arrangements and itineraries.
  • Handle expense management and budget tracking in accordance with Bank of Ireland policies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience supporting C-suite or senior executives, ideally within Bankinhg or a similar regulated financial services organisation.
  • Experience working within or alongside technology teams (e.g., IT, digital, cybersecurity, or transformation).
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing executive-quality outputs.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
