The role of Head of Transport and Logistics oversees all areas of the transport process. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Day to day management of transport and logistics team.
- Provide leadership to team in the form of process improvement, identifying development opportunities and performance management.
- Managing resources effectively for team to deliver best possible customer outcomes.
- Implement and develop effective standard operating procedures across the transport and logistics function.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships with suppliers and providers
- Ensuring cost efficiency and possessing commercial oversight of the transport and logistics operation,
- Identify and implement key performance metrics across team.
- Ensure legal compliance across full department, holding role of Transport Manager on the Operators License. Responsibility for ensuring this is in place.
- Understanding overall business needs and objectives to ensure the transport and logistics team are exceeding expectations.
The right person for this role will be an experienced Transport/Logistics Manager with an emphasis on road freight. The successful candidate will be able to effectively demonstrate their experience of leading teams, managing complex projects and their capability of managing a varied operation. It is essential that applicants hold a valid National & International Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
The package for this role is competitive and dependent on experience. Full details can be discussed with Honeycomb. The business operates a 4 day week working model for 3 weeks out of 4, therefore this opportunity is highly attractive. No weekend working however some flexibility may be required.
