Honeycomb Jobs are delighted to partner with the Belfast Credit Union to support the placement of several Area Branch Manager within their thriving Belfast Credit Union locations.
Purpose of the Role
As a key member of the Credit Union team the individual will support the operations manager and contribute to delivering customer excellence across branches.

  • Be an Ambassador for Credit Union, representing the Union at external functions, bringing common interests together through authentic, meaningful and impactful contributions to our communities, igniting business growth and social development, earning dedicated customers and creating enduring brand advocates.
  • Deliver transformation in line with the overall strategy of excellent member service.
  • Develop and lead an open and inclusive culture.
  • Handle all staff queries promptly, courteously, and professionally and within the context of the culture of trust, support and encouragement which is part of the credit union ethos.
  • Promoting our products and services to support customer financial wellbeing.
  • Leading and implementing a development plan for the team, coaching for top performing team
  • Perform all duties in a compliant manner, leading all branch activity in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an innovative outlook, making recommendations to improve member service standards and delivery of service.

This is a stimulating career development opportunity. As an Area Branch Manager, you will be responsible for management of multiple branches. You will have overall accountability for delivering against Union targets including customer & community, growth, risk, people, and transformation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven financial service, banking or credit union experience.
  • Evidence of ability to lead the customer agenda delivering brilliant outcomes for customers.
  • Experience in a Team Leader or Management position or similar role for 2 years plus.
  • Evidence of regular proactive engagement with local community building customer loyalty, development of a wide range of contacts and delivering business growth.
  • Strong leadership/management experience, evidenced by ability to deliver team/unit objectives.
  • Full Clean driving license with access to own car.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Have or working towards Pathways Certificate in Credit Union Operations.
  • Train the trainer experience or qualification.
  • Business related degree / education.
