Contract: Temporary until 18th December 2026

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join a busy School Nursing service. Working alongside the School Nursing Team, the successful candidates will provide day-to-day clerical assistance, helping to coordinate immunisation programmes, maintain accurate information and ensure the efficient delivery of administrative processes across the service.
There are two opportunities available, with one position based in Armagh and the other in Dungannon.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative and clerical assistance to the School Nursing Team and management staff.
- Supporting the administration of the Healthy Child, Healthy Future Programme, including regional childhood immunisation and paediatric flu programmes.
- Preparing information packs, envelopes and correspondence for distribution to schools and pupils.
- Delivering and collecting documents and correspondence from local schools on behalf of the nursing team.
- Contacting GP practices and parents to obtain or clarify children's vaccination histories.
- Producing letters, reports and other documents using Microsoft Word.
- Carrying out general office duties, including filing, photocopying and maintaining organised records.
- Answering telephone calls, responding to routine enquiries and assisting with diary management.
- Arranging appointments and meetings as requested by the team.
- Processing incoming and outgoing post and dealing with routine correspondence in accordance with established procedures.
- Ordering, checking and maintaining office supplies and stock.
- Entering information onto computerised systems and retrieving relevant details from the Child Health system when required.
- Providing clerical cover across Trust locations when required to support service continuity.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable and flexible team player with good communication skills and a positive approach to work. You will be comfortable undertaking a range of administrative duties, managing competing priorities and using your own initiative to support the smooth running of a busy healthcare service. A professional and courteous manner is essential, particularly when communicating with parents, schools, GP practices and healthcare colleagues.

Applicants must meet one of the following qualification and experience requirements:
Option 1:

Candidates will also need to demonstrate the following at interview:
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Confidence in using their own initiative and working independently when appropriate.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload.
