Honeycomb is pleased to be working with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a temporary Band 3 bookings administrator. This role is based at the Ulster Hospital and is available for an immediate start.
The Role
As a Medical Secretary, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional secretarial and administrative support to clinical teams and healthcare professionals.
- Managing appointments, maintaining clinicians' diaries and dealing with correspondence and general administrative duties.
- Producing and formatting letters, reports, clinical documentation and other records using Microsoft Office.
- Carrying out audio transcription and taking accurate minutes of meetings when required.
- Maintaining accurate patient information and administrative records across both electronic and paper-based systems.
- Responding professionally and courteously to enquiries from patients, relatives, colleagues and external organisations.
- Acting as an efficient and approachable point of contact for the department.
The Person
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C, including English Language, along with 1 year's secretarial or administrative experience;
OR
- NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent) plus 1 year's secretarial or administrative experience;
OR
- 2 years' relevant secretarial or administrative experience.
In addition, candidates must have:
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

- £12.75 per hour
- Band 3 position
- Temporary for an initial 12 weeks, with potential for extension
- Full-time hours
- Based at the Ulster Hospital
