Honeycomb is delighted to be working with our public sector client, to recruit an Education Officer within a Financial Services remit at EOI level on a 9+ month temporary contract. Competitive package based in Belfast.

The Client - Our public sector client provides free, independent support and advice for individuals and businesses in Northern Ireland in addition to being empowered to investigate complaints over a range of sectors.

The Role: This credible position reports into the line manager within the Financial Services Education Team. Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Develop and deliver educational materials in relation to consumer financial services, with a particular focus on our work to address the issues of illegal money lending, to a wide range of audiences.
  • Play a role in delivering the annual programme of work, including agreed KPIs with HM Treasury.
  • Create and maintain collaborative working relationships within and outside of the organisation with a range of stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Financial Services Education Team.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of individual projects that produce new educational materials and develop existing resources.
  • Support the delivery these educational resources to empower consumers to make informed financial decisions.
  • To work with the Financial Services team to monitor and anticipate legislative and/or social changes and to assess the impacts of these changes on consumer educational materials.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required consistent with the nature and level of the post.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • Experience of creating and delivering effective and engaging presentations targeted to specific audiences.
  • Experience of developing well written information resources and educational tools.
  • Experience of organising information events or workshops.
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective partnerships and good relations with external bodies and special interest groups.

Desirable:

  • Developing and delivering education programmes relating to consumer financial services.
