Honeycomb Jobs is delighted to be working with a charity sector client, to recruit a temporary full time Fundraising Assistant based in North Belfast.

The Client - Our charity sector client provides direct assistance to people with dementia.

The Role: Will assist the Fundraising team. Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Process donations from both online and offline sources ensuring information is recorded correctly onto the CRM database.
  • Ensure all donations are thanked in a timely manner across all income streams.
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns including events, community, corporate and individual giving.
  • Collate, prepare, and deliver supporter information packs.
  • Maintain income and expenditure tracking and evaluation systems.
  • Research and identify funding opportunities.
  • Support volunteering activity within fundraising department.
  • Always ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • Follow Gift Aid processes and actively promote Gift Aid with donors.
  • Office cash handling with regular banking.
  • Be aware of support material levels and maintain adequate supplies to deliver fundraising activities.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience of providing successful administrative support.
  • Previous experience of working in a busy administration department.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Experience of working with database or CRM.
  • Self-motivated, solutions focused with the ability to use your initiative.

Desirable:

  • Experience of using digital platforms.
  • Experience supporting volunteers and a wider variety of donors.
  • A clear understanding of dementia.
