Honeycomb is assisting a large public sector organisation with an 'Information Management Business Support Officer'. Temporary 6month post with potential extension. N. Belfast with free parking & excellent benefits.

The Client - With a regional presence; this large organisation covers a wide remit across it's corporate governance strategy. In doing so, this organisation equally operates with a broad range of benefits to employees. Details disclosed further throughout application. Temporary 'ongoing' initial 6 month contract with reviewal for extension.

The Role - To undertake Information Management, Information Assurance and Data Quality duties appropriate to the Corporate Information Management discipline, with supervisory responsibility for corporate data improvement by monitoring compliance and accuracy, which are integral to customer service, operational effectiveness and regulatory reporting on performance and governance.

Key Duties include:

  • Adhering to the organisation Information Governance Strategy, to provide support to the wider team in the provision of an Information Management framework, while enabling the support of managing information effectively, in accordance with business and legislative requirements.
  • Process Information Access requests by logging, tracking and drafting such requests in line with legislative requirements. (Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and Data Protection).
  • Provision of advice and guidance on routine information access, data protection and records management issues to staff.
  • Provide reporting on both the standard of data quality of key individual attributes / processes across corporate data and data quality trends across the management community.
  • Help monitor compliance and accuracy, which are integral to customer service, operational effectiveness and regulatory reporting on performance and governance.
  • Assist with creation, delivery and monitoring of training to the wider company in areas of expertise.

The Person -

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's Grade C or above, to include English, or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months' experience in an electronic or office environment, including experience or intermediate/advanced knowledge of IT systems (use of databases)
  • Demonstrable understanding of Information Access and Data Protection legislation, Information and Records Management.
  • High level of communication skills, including oral and written ability
  • A requirement to participate in an out of hours on-call and overtime rota as well as a requirement to work overtime; including weekends and public and privilege holidays

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of data quality/ process improvement skills and techniques
  • Experience of ICT Training provision including development and delivery.
