Honeycomb are thrilled to be partnering with a growing charity in the recruitment of a Programme Manager! This role will be based fully in their offices in Belfast at £30,000 - £32,000 with free on-site parking!

Some main responsibilities include:

This is a vital role within the charity, you will play a huge part in the future growth and successful of the projects. Bringing your expertise and drive to succeed this is the ideal role for someone who is passionate about the surrounding community/young people within and has a desire to enable positive change.

  • Oversee the delivery of all programmes, from inception to reporting, including managing resources, budget, claims and people to achieve the desired outcome
  • Responsible for the daily management of financial and operational matters of current programmes and services
  • Maintain the organisations reporting systems and databases, tracking and regularly updating project finance, data collection and fundraising activities
  • Monitor and support Programme Coordinators
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, ensuring all programmes are delivered in line with the charitable vision and mission
  • Regularly communicate with all stakeholders, preparing status reports, conducting meetings and being the point of contact for programme related queries
  • Achieve delivery targets, meeting the operational outputs
  • Manage all funding and grant claims i.e. preparation and submission of project expenditure claims inc verification and vouching of grants and tenders
  • Maintain payroll management, monthly bank reconciliations, sales invoicing and credit control

What do you need?

  • Previous experience working in a similar environment (charity/voluntary/management) within the community/youth sector
  • Proven experience in a project management or coordination role
  • Ability to display understanding of PM techniques inc. planning, operations and monitoring
  • Experience maintaining accurate project budgets, claims and finance records
  • Understanding of working to KPI's/targets under time pressures
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritise and work off own initiative
  • Experience motivating and supporting staff members/volunteers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience maintaining accurate project budgets, claims and finance records
  • High level of IT literacy inc MO suite, and reporting tools
  • Full, clean driving license to meet travel requirements within the post
  • Previous experience in Sage is desired but not essential (trained within the role)
