What would a typical day look like for you?

This is a vital role, acting as the point of contact and providing support within the Camphill Community. Some main responsibilities include:

  • Receiving incoming calls, handling queries, operating the switchboard and forwarding relevant information to the correct parties
  • Management of the central email and SPAM management system
  • Point of contact within the office, meeting and greeting visitors and staff, providing hospitality
  • Signing in guests, issuing visitor passes
  • Preparation of reports when required
  • Providing administration support for colleagues and community staff when required
  • Recording, filling and retrieving information
  • Creating reports and resolving queries from existing database'
  • Sourcing and booking travel when required
  • Maintaining community supplies, ensuring the resources of the community are used in a cost effective manner
  • Organising and coordinating internal and external meetings
  • Assisting staff with preparation, production and distribution of community literature regarding community events and festivals to relevant stakeholders
  • Providing general support and assistance to the Facilities Manager
  • Following up with actions when required after audit reports
  • Providing general support to Health & Safety Group

Person Specification

  • 6 Months experience working in a similar reception/office environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of MO packages, ability to learn new systems, IT literate
  • Must be able to work proactively, willing to learn and engage with training and development
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Act a strong team player
  • Understanding of GDPR, maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong organisation skills, ability to multitask
  • 5 GCSE's including Maths and English
