Honeycomb is delighted to be assisting our client, an all-island charity based in Belfast, with the recruitment of a Training Delivery Lead.

This is a full-time, contract position, covering a 12-month maternity period.

The Role

Overview

This position will be responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering a suite of Learning and Development Programmes across the Charity. In addition, they will be expected to provide Performance and Development advice to staff in line with the organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements.

The successful candidate will work across the following areas: Learning and Development and Cultural & Organisational Development.

Duties

Learning and Development

  • Support the development of the HR and OD Strategy to ensure the provision of training within the Charity is forward thinking and actively considers future developments.
  • Support the development of Policy, Procedure and Practice
  • Support the Training Needs Analysis and development of the Learning and Development Schedule to ensure current requirements are met.
  • Preparation of appropriate training materials and engaging presentations.
  • Deliver engaging Training Programmes to internal and external staff.
  • Evaluate and develop Training Programmes to best meet the needs of the organisation and to ensure alignment to relevant external standards (e.g. NISCC, RQIA, Supporting People, CORU and HIQA).
  • Maintain and manage appropriate records within designated time frames.
  • Prepare management reports as required.
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate appropriate Developmental Programmes.
  • Support the implementation of technology-assisted learning, acting as subject matter expert and providing input into course design and content.
  • Participate in relevant Training Steering Groups, providing feedback and insight.
  • Maintain specialist knowledge in areas of expertise including current knowledge, themes and thinking of organisational and workforce development within the Health and Social Care context.
  • Cultural and Organisational Development

  • Co-ordinate and support the Charity's Apprenticeship scheme and employability work streams.
  • Support the integration of new work streams.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, performance improvement, probation and supervision processes, ensuring consistency across the Group and adherence to procedure.
  • Provide Quality Assurance in terms of the engagement levels with performance management and the performance management, probation and supervision processes.
  • Support the development of the Employee Engagement strategy and associated initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of the annual employee survey, focus groups, communication and related action planning
  • Support the development of the Employee Wellbeing strategy and initiatives.
  • Support the development of the Internal Communications strategy and initiatives.
  • Have a regular presence in the various Charity locations to promote Employee Engagement, Wellbeing and Communications and to capture local events and share with the Group.
  • Provide support for the Charity's Learning Centre Programmes.

    Criteria

    • Third level qualification (or equivalent) in Human Resources or Health & Social Care related disciplines and 2 years' experience working in Training or Learning and Development or Organisational Development or Human Resources.

    OR

    • Minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above, to include English Language and Mathematics and 5 years' experience working in Training or Learning and Development or Organisational Development or Human Resources.

    AND in addition to either of the above:

    • Experience of designing and delivering high-quality training programmes.

    Skills

    • Proven experience of developing high levels of credibility with delegates and customers.
    • Strong IT skills, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrable experience of managing and prioritising workload to ensure effective outcomes.

    Requirements

    • Ability to be flexible and adaptable as the role will involve working at various locations across Ireland.
    • A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
