What would a typical day look like for you?

If you are committed, passionate and possess strong leadership skills this is the perfect role for you. Some responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Service Manager in recruiting and inducting new staff, including volunteers, supporting with paperwork i.e. risk assessments contact notes, incident reports ensuring all are completed in a timely manner
  • Fulfilling health & safety requirements, applying appropriate management measures when needed
  • Applying the organisation's policies and procedures for best practice, promoting a culture of quality improvement through continual service development
  • Demonstrating leadership skills by fostering teamwork, development, promoting equality and placing the service users at heart
  • Motivate, mentor and develop the Support Workers through daily delegation and supervision
  • Maintaining accurate records, identifying poor performance/non-compliance of policies, and coaching where necessary
  • Having a full understanding of the work across all services to ensure cross functional working between teams
  • Ensuring the team are meeting the basic needs of the service users

Person Specification

  • At least 1 years experience working with vulnerable individuals
  • 6 Months experience within people management, implanting of policies & procedures
  • Knowledge of support planning, risk assessment and harm reduction
  • Knowledge of planning and coordinating services, including working in partnership with internal and external organisations
  • Strong understanding of Equality, Health & Safety , Diversity & Inclusion, Protection of Adults and Children at Risk and other policies relevant to the role
  • Excellent communication skills, strong use of IT systems including MO
  • Target and solution focused, ability to prioritise tasks
  • Must be passionate and enthusiastic about making a positive difference to the homeless and vulnerably housed
  • Full driving licence required
